In a cultural landscape where institutions tend to dominate, what, then, is a community? Is it built of rules and procedures? Friendship? Common interests? What is the texture of a community, and how can we tell if we are part of one? In this session of Young Philosophers, we will explore the nature of community.
Young Philosophers is an online discussion for high-school-aged students. Join us for “What Is Community?” on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 6-7 p.m. PDT. The discussion will be led by Gutenberg tutor Eliot Grasso.
