January 11—Young Philosophers: What Is Friendship?

What does it mean to be a friend and to have a friend? In a world where we are often encouraged to treat others as means to our ends, how does friendship factor in? Is love or sacrifice required for true friendship? Shared interests? In this session of Young Philosophers, we will explore the nature of friendship.

Young Philosophers is an online discussion for high-school-aged students. Join us for “What Is Friendship?” on Monday, January 11, 2027, from 6-7 p.m. PST. The discussion will be led by Gutenberg tutor Eliot Grasso.
