On October 11, Gutenberg will host a one-of-a-kind, Eugene-community 5K inspired by great books, great ideas, and a healthy dose of humor. The “Great Books Tour 5K” is designed to be welcoming, memorable, and delightfully nerdy, with humorous literary quote signs along the route, the legendary “Socratic Sprint,” and costumes and team themes. All paces are welcome: serious runners, casual walkers, families, students, book lovers, and costume enthusiasts alike are invited to join the fun on a beautiful course near Alton Baker Park and the river paths.
Whether you’re channeling Aristotle, Austen, Tolkien, or simply your inner over-caffeinated reader, this is your chance to Run with the Greats—and benefit Gutenberg College.
